For Hindi & Hinglish creators
ElevenLabs vs Murf for Hindi voiceover
Both tools speak Hindi. The real differences are elsewhere: whether you can clone your own voice without an enterprise contract, how each one handles a Hinglish script, how many minutes you get for the money, and whether checkout takes UPI.
Checked against each vendor's own documentation on 26 September 2026.

Pick ElevenLabs if
You want your own voice speaking Hindi, you want to dub existing English videos into Hindi in your voice, or you want to pay in rupees with UPI. Voice cloning starts on the $6 plan.

Pick Murf if
You run a faceless channel and need hours of stock Hindi narration a month, with regional accents and pitch control, and you have a credit card. Murf documents Hindi–English switching inside one sentence.

If you want your own voice in Hindi, it is ElevenLabs
The biggest gap between these two is voice cloning. ElevenLabs includes Instant Voice Cloning on its $6 Starter plan, and says a cloned voice can speak every language its model supports — Hindi included. Murf's help centre says cloning is available only on its Enterprise plan.
That matters for two common jobs. If you make English videos and want a Hindi channel that still sounds like you, ElevenLabs' automatic dubbing can keep the original speaker's voice. And if you fluff a line in a Hindi voiceover, a clone lets you regenerate it instead of re-recording.
If you need hours of stock narration, look hard at Murf
Faceless channels — explainers, story channels, news recaps — burn through minutes. Murf's Creator plan gives 2 hours of voice generation a month; ElevenLabs' $6 plan gives about 30 minutes, and you would need a higher tier to match Murf's volume.
Murf also leans into Indian variety: it markets 40+ Hindi voices across Delhi, Mumbai, Bhojpuri and diaspora accents, and gives you pitch as well as speed control. ElevenLabs does not publish how many Hindi voices it has.
Hinglish scripts: what is documented and what is not
Most Indian creators do not write pure Hindi. A line like 'Aaj hum dekhenge ki yeh AI tool kaise kaam karta hai' mixes languages, and sometimes scripts too.
Murf's Falcon 2 documentation says its voices can switch between Hindi and English within a single sentence. ElevenLabs does not document Hinglish handling for voiceover — its Hinglish mode is for its conversational agents product. Neither vendor documents how it treats Hindi typed in Roman letters versus Devanagari. Try your own script on both free plans before you pay: this is the one thing a spec sheet cannot answer.
Paying: UPI makes a difference
ElevenLabs says customers in India can pay in rupees at checkout and supports UPI. Murf takes credit cards through Stripe and states that debit cards are not accepted, which rules it out for a lot of students and first-time creators until they have a credit card.
Watch the free tiers too. ElevenLabs' free plan cannot be used commercially and requires credit to ElevenLabs on anything you publish, so a monetised channel needs a paid plan from day one. Murf's free plan does not allow downloads at all — it is a trial, not a tier.
Questions creators ask
Which AI voice is best for Hindi YouTube videos?+
For your own cloned voice, dubbing, or paying by UPI, ElevenLabs. For large volumes of stock Hindi narration with regional accents, Murf's Creator plan gives more minutes per month. Test your own script on both free plans first.
Can I use ElevenLabs' free plan on a monetised YouTube channel?+
No. ElevenLabs says free-plan output cannot be used for any commercial purpose and must credit ElevenLabs. The $6 Starter plan includes a commercial licence.
Does Murf support Hinglish?+
Murf documents that its Falcon 2 voices can switch between Hindi and English within one sentence. How it handles Hindi written in Roman letters is not documented, so test it with your own script.
Can I pay for ElevenLabs or Murf with UPI?+
ElevenLabs supports UPI and INR pricing for customers in India. Murf accepts credit cards via Stripe and says debit cards are not accepted; it does not mention UPI.
